FLF broke ground on a new office building in the center of town that will house the headquarters of the Coffee cooperative. This elected group of leaders from La Ladrillera organize and support the farmers and families working on the coffee plantations surrounding La Ladrillera. They have the vital role of helping to maintain La Ladrillera's economic engine - coffee and the town was in need of proper offices to conduct their business and meetings. It is our hope at FLF that this new office building will inspire pride and renewed inspiration for the important work the coffee growers contribute to La Ladrillera. Here are a some photos of the progress:

We made our annual trip to La Ladrillera on a beautiful Saturday afternoon. Jim and Sue Dulin, daughter Gracie Sullivan, Stanley Romero and Melvin Romero joined the team for this year's visit. We visited the construction site and watched first hand the progress of the new ECA Office Building. We toured the new middle school and were very pleased to see the school furniture that we shipped installed and in use! We were honored to meet two new families who will receive homes from FLF this year as part of our outreach to be the hands of Christ to our brothers and sisters most in need. We were overjoyed to be the guests of honor at a festival held on the soccor field. We enjoyed watching games, races and Christian drama presentations that were very touching and special. We initiated a village wellness program at the health clinic - offering free prenatal vitamins, blood pressures checks, child vaccine reminders, visits to the elderly and first aid care. We saw the first eco-brick bench and initiated a park beautification campaign to build a sitting wall around and benches in the town sqaure. Most importantly we spent quality time with our friends in La Ladrillera. We can't wait to go back again! Here are some great memories of the trip:
